Major Assignments

Three major projects, each with a different writing challenge.

The assignments move from narrative to rhetorical analysis to autoethnography. Together they show how I learned to work with genre, audience, multimodality, and reflection in more deliberate ways.

Assignment 1

Discourse Community Narrative

Purpose: Explain how a discourse community shaped the way I communicate and understand literacy.

Why it matters: This piece established the personal and conceptual foundation for the rest of the portfolio.

Purpose: Analyze a pop-culture text and redesign it for a better rhetorical outcome.

Why it matters: This assignment made design, delivery, and audience awareness central to my writing choices.

Purpose: Use reflection, primary observation, and course reading to interpret my writing identity.

Why it matters: The final assignment turns the portfolio inward and makes my writing process the object of analysis.
